Meri is a graduate of Central Carolina Community College where she earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Medical Technology. She is a charter member of the Academy of Internal Medicine for Veterinary Technicians, as well as a member of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America. She has contributed to a number of publications and presents at numerous veterinary conferences. Her special interests are the pathophysiology and transmission of infectious diseases.
